dog harnessesThe Bottom's Up Leash is a quality, 100% nylon, supportive rear end dog harness (dog leash) designed to assist animals with broken bones, arthritis, hip dysplasia, or any other skeletal or muscular problems. It allows the animal to perform bodily functions (urinate and defecate) unencumbered, while being supported by a person who lifts a portion of the animal's weight at a 90-degree angle from the top of the back, in front of the tail area. It works by taking the animal's weight off its hind legs while you walk your dog from the rear. The leash price is USD $34.95, (plus shipping and sales tax where applicable). bottoms up leash

Because the straps have a clearance in design off of the animal's back, the pressure is distributed under the center of its hind legs. This gives the most complete support of the rear hips and upper rear legs. By lifting slightly on the leash, the pet owner can control the amount of weight that is being placed on the animal's hind legs. The animal will still be going through the walking motion and will still be applying pressure on its legs, so the leash acts as an effective therapeutic device.

The sleeves are washable and are made of 100% Neoprene. This leash will not chafe your dog!

What a few of our customers have to say about the Bottom's Up Leash
"I can't tell you what a difference the leash makes. I was finally able to get Cody in and out of the house by myself... without him urinating on me or himself. You guys have a really excellent product. My vet is using a canvas wood carrier that's been modified a bit. It isn't nearly as effective as the leash. Have you marketed this at trade shows? There is such a great demand out there and I'm surprised at how many people are unaware the leash exists. Anyway, thanks for all of your help. Cody is going for acupuncture tomorrow for his ruptured disc. He has regained feeling in his legs, but just can't support himself. We're hoping for the best. You guys are lifesavers."   [More]

"My nine year old German Shepard was a perfect picture of health last summer, romping around like a puppy. As soon as the cold whether hit it seemed like over night he was having a hard time getting up and walking. He's was like a totally different dog. He totally staggered when he walked and totally lost his appetite. Our vet told us it was his arthritis. I bought one of you dog harnesses and now my husband and I are able to get him up and down the stairs of our three level townhome. Your leash has been a huge help. The three of us thank you for this invention!"   [More]

"I received the leash on Saturday (thanks for the superfast shipping)----it is awesome. We moved into a new house with stairs last Monday and my poor border collie Elijah could not get in and out without struggling with the old towel-under-the-belly." Your leash makes it SO much easier for both of us! I now am not afraid of losing my grip on those towel ends and Elijah is much more supported under his rear where he needs it. Thank you so much, from me AND Elijah!"   [More]

"I just wanted to say Thank You for the Bottoms Up Leash. After our Weimaraner's Achilles reconstruction they recommended using a towel to help support her. She weighs 80 pounds and it was impossible. Your product has saved my back and made her much more comfortable when going outside to use the bathroom."   [More]
